At RockyRiverWhoodles, our adult breeding dogs are cherished members of our family. To ensure every dog receives the love, attention, and quality of life they deserve, we limit the number of dogs living in our home.
Guardian families play an important role in our program. Qualified families receive a puppy or adult dog to love as their own while RockyRiverWhoodles retains breeding rights.
Guardian Fee: $500
What This Means for You
- You receive a dog to add to your family
- Your guardian dog is your forever family pet
- Your dog will visit us once per year for planned breeding
- Once your dog completes their breeding commitment, they will be spayed or neutered at our expense and remain with you permanently
Breeder Responsibilities
RockyRiverWhoodles will:
- Cover all breeding-related costs
- Provide care for all litters
- Maintain pet insurance for the guardian dog while active in the program
- Coordinate breeding, whelping, and retirement
Guardian Family Responsibilities
Guardian families must:
- Have a fenced yard
- Have previous dog ownership experience or strong knowledge of dog care
- Provide proper nutrition, exercise, and routine veterinary care
- Train and socialize using positive, appropriate methods
- Maintain grooming at home and through professional grooming as needed
